Excessive Sweating Treatments

Before We Get Started, A Note on Services

During your evaluation, we will formulate a plan specifically tailored to you. The art of beauty should focus on results rather than on individual treatments.

Tox (aka wrinkle relaxers, neurotoxins, botulinum toxin)

Frequently Asked Questions

What are neurotoxins?

Botox ® is a brand name for a type of neurotoxin. There are many other neurotoxins that work by the same mechanism. We offer Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin. Neurotoxins temporarily paralyze muscles (fully or partially, depending on the dose), which help decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles. They are best utilized as a preventative measure, so start early and often. They can help soften permanent lines, but may not get rid of them entirely (but don’t dismay, there are other options for those). Neurotoxins combined with other treatment modalities will yield the best results and happiest spa-goers.

What should I expect?

Neurotoxins are injected with a teeny, tiny needle (yes, that’s the technical term) that feels like a little bee sting, so usually only ice beforehand is all you need. The procedure itself takes only a few minutes. You will look like you have some mosquito bites in the area for a few hours afterward. We don’t recommend leaving the spa and going directly to a blind date. It is possible to have some mild bruising. A bruise from neurotoxin lasts as long as, well, a bruise. They’re usually small and easily covered with makeup. Worst-case scenario: facial asymmetry or drooping. Both will eventually go away by themselves and both are also usually easily treated at a follow-up appointment.

When will I see results?

Depending on the specific neurotoxin, the person, and the position of the moon, some people see results as soon as 2-3 days, but usually closer to a week. The peak effect occurs around 30 days. (So, if you have a big event scheduled, plan for treatment approximately one month in advance.)

How long do the results last?

Depending upon similar factors to above, the results may last from three to six months (usually longer if you have been injecting regularly and for a longer period of time).

In what body areas can I get it?

A better question is where can’t you get it. Follows is a brief, but nowhere near exhaustive list: forehead, crow’s feet, eleven lines, smile lines, smoker’s lines, bunny lines, neck. Some more creative uses: overactive sweat glands, “gummy” smile, lip enhancement, microneedling (to decrease pore size and acne), chin (to reduce dimples), jawline (to reduce TMJ pain and jaw muscle size). The list goes on…

Morpheus8

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Morpheus8?

If you’re reading this, chances are you have already heard of Morpheus8 by Inmode. Morpheus8 is a skin-tightening procedure that uses radiofrequency (RF) microneedling. It is very different than traditional microneedling because once the needles are in the skin an RF current is sent from one needle to the next to transform and contour the face via subdermal adipose remodeling. It targets the deeper layers of the skin to generate remarkable collagen production and skin tightening and smoothing. It is safe, FDA-approved and extremely effective.

What can I expect?

You will be numbed up for 45 minutes prior to the procedure. Most clients do well with topical numbing, alone, but we also offer nerve blocks for clients who would be better served by this option. Either way, you will be comfy (the beauty of being trained as an anesthesiologist)! The day of treatment, you will be pink, but the next day you may wear a mineral makeup to cover any residual pinkness. You will need to protect yourself from the sun for at least two weeks (but you should already be doing this!).

When will I see results?

Most clients notice improvement in skin tone and texture within a few days, but the best results will occur approximately three months following the last treatment. It is recommended to have three treatments spaced roughly one month apart.

How long do the results last?

Again, since we are creating collagen, the results are essentially permanent, but you may desire a yearly maintenance treatment to “keep the tank full”.

In what body areas can I get it?

Face, neck, décolleté. It may cause decreased hair growth, so we cannot RF microneedle over areas men desire to maintain facial hair.
