I have a big event coming up. When should I undergo my aesthetic treatment to look my glowing best in perfect time?

A good rule of thumb for any treatment is to not do it less than two weeks prior to any important event (to allow time for any swelling or bruising to subside). That being said, two weeks is not usually the optimal time period for best results: it's just the minimum.

The best lead-time for Botox (or Dysport, Jeuveau or Xeomin) is one month in advance (its peak effect is at 30 days). Fillers are generally best injected four weeks in advance. Collagen-stimulating procedures (Radiesse, Sculptra, PRP, PlasmaPen, smooth PDO threads) should be done six months in advance and you may desire more than one treatment session (get started now!). Mesotherapy (a.k.a. lipodissolve) should be completed 4-5 weeks in advance to allow time for the swelling to subside and for the skin to shrink and tighten (although don’t forget you will likely require a few treatments spaced one month apart). Lifting PDO threads are best placed one month in advance. Chemical peels and microneedling (again, remembering you will complete a series of 3-5, spaced one month apart) should be completed approximately four weeks prior to any event. Sclerotherapy (vein removal) is best when finished six weeks in advance (you will likely desire two sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart). Lastly--ready for this one?!--PRX Derm Perfexion (previously known as PRX-T33) facial treatments are best begun one month in advance with the last, weekly treatment a few days prior to your event (so you have a fresh, lovely glow).
